Nicodemus Nott was the third born child of two Old Blood Parents, Their Seccond born child , Elizabeta was thrilled at the birth of her baby brother and doted on him non stop while their allready half grown brother was ambivilent about the new arrival, And while his parents were very propper and distantas well as his brother , Nico and Liza were as close as if they'd been twins despite the 4 year gap in their ages , they depended on each other utterly for affection and support. Unfortunately ..when Liza was 12 and Nico was 8 , Elizabeta fell from her broom, she'd gone too high and lost her ballance , she broke her neck and spine on impact, Nico blamed himself for her death. She'd been showing him a Wronski Feint that he'd begged her to show him , even though he hadn't learned to fly yet. Afterwards he developed a facinination with death, shunning his family and withdrawing into himself. He ended up with An Obsession with stopping death, reverseing the process,Prolonging life far past the natural, anything to bring Elizabeta back. That obsession turned into a lasting facenination with Necromancy , and when he turned ten he discovered that he had the Gift, the Abillity to Speak with the dead and manipulate negative energy, but it was a mixed blessing at best, While he was able to speak with his sister again, he knew her pain when he Called her, The Peacefull Dead are not ment to return and it is Agony beyond mortal imagineing when they do. Thus he could not bring himself to Call her again after the first Accidental Summoning , Not until he had a way to bind her soul back to her restored body , so he studied death in all it's forms and processes, yearing to understand one simple thing , one principle that ment everything to him. How to Take it back ...how to reverse death ..and how to prevent it utterly. he studies hard at School , but devotes most of his spare time to his research , which he keeps quiet as the grave, if you'll pardon the Morgue humnor. He has no friends and likes it that way , the better to concentrate on his work. he knows about the proclivites of most of his House , and he reserves judgement for the moment , as well as opinion .
